Systemic inflammation markers, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), are elevated in Eisenmenger syndrome (ES). Elevated hs-CRP was linked to older age and reduced exercise capacity in ES patients.
