Resuscitation ratios of fresh frozen plasma (FFP) to red blood cells (RBC) and balanced electrolyte solution (BES) to RBC impact postoperative fluid needs. Higher FFP:RBC ratios increase fluid needs, while higher BES:RBC ratios decrease them.
