  • Apps for non-surgical obesity treatment were excluded from the review.

  • 28 unique weight loss surgery apps were reviewed, with a mean rating of 3.6/5 and cost of £1.89.
  • 92.9% of apps were designed for patient use, categorized into information, support, and record tools.
  • Health professional involvement was identified in only 42.9% of the reviewed apps.

  • The majority of weight loss surgery apps lack input from health professionals.
