Quantitative diagnosis of diffuse alveolar damage using extravascular lung water

This study identified a threshold extravascular lung water (EVLW) level of approximately 10 mL/kg to diagnose diffuse alveolar damage (DAD). This finding offers a potential quantitative bedside tool for diagnosing DAD and supporting acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) clinical assessment.
