Abstract:
In Finland nurse teacher and nurse administrator education has moved from the college-level into universities. Under two schemes leading to a Master's in Health Care, nursing science is the main subject, the aim to provide scientific knowledge and needed research skills. Below, the authors report on Finland's system of academic graduate training in nursing science and the curriculum of the University of Turku that has been developed in close cooperation with international nursing science experts and WHO support.
