Delayed hypersensitivity reaction caused by metal-on-metal total disc replacement

Metal-on-metal total disc replacement (TDR) can cause hypersensitivity reactions. A patient developed cauda equina syndrome due to a TDR device, highlighting potential complications of systemic metal release.
