Summary

Juvenile fibromatosis in a child caused mandibular erosion. Wide surgical excision and regular follow-up are crucial due to the high recurrence rate of this intermediate fibrous proliferation.

  • The mass led to erosion of the inferior border of the mandible.

Findings:

  • Incisional biopsy confirmed juvenile fibromatosis.
  • Histopathologic findings indicated an intermediate pattern between benign fibrous lesions and fibrosarcoma.

  • Wide surgical excision is the recommended treatment for juvenile fibromatosis.
