Coronary aneurysm complicated by acute myocardial infarction

A 55-year-old obese woman with hypertension experienced myocardial infarction. Treatment included thrombolysis and anticoagulation for coronary artery aneurysms and thrombus, leading to a good recovery.

- Intravenous heparin and warfarin were initiated due to the presence of aneurysmal coronary arteries and a significant thrombus burden.
- The patient was discharged within a week and showed positive outcomes during follow-up.

- This case highlights the importance of considering coronary artery aneurysms in patients presenting with myocardial infarction, especially those with risk factors.
- Aggressive anticoagulation therapy may be crucial in managing coronary artery aneurysms with thrombus to prevent recurrent ischemic events.
