Obesity is a growing global health concern. This case study highlights a rare complication of adjustable gastric banding, a popular bariatric surgery, involving syncope after meals.

Observation:

This report details a case of a patient who underwent adjustable gastric banding.
The patient experienced syncope, a sudden loss of consciousness, specifically after consuming meals.

Findings:

The study presents an additional, less common complication associated with adjustable gastric banding.
The observed complication is characterized by postprandial syncope in a patient with a history of gastric banding.
