    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the simultaneous measurement of plaque pH and salivary fluoride levels.
    • To assess the effect of dissolving different concentrations of sodium fluoride (NaF) tablets in the oral cavity.
    • To evaluate the impact of fluoride on plaque glycolysis when combined with sucrose.

    • Fluoride effectively inhibits plaque glycolysis, offering a protective mechanism against sucrose-induced acidification.
    • The use of sucrose as a vehicle in fluoride tablets warrants further discussion regarding its overall impact on oral health benefits.
