Summary

Peripheral blood monocytes from patients with chronic progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) produce significantly more prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) than those from healthy individuals or patients with other MS forms. Thromboxane B2 (TxB2) levels did not differ significantly between groups.
