Obesity is common in asthma patients. Both short and very long sleep durations are linked to higher obesity rates in adults with asthma, alongside severe asthma and psychopathology.

- Worse asthma severity, presence of psychopathology, and high-dose inhaled corticosteroid use are also linked to obesity in this population.
- Further research into sleep patterns may offer novel strategies for managing obesity in asthma patients.
