Emotionality in offspring of rats fed alcohol while nursing

Lactating dams were given liquid diets containing ethanol and their pair-fed controls identical diets with isocaloric sucrose instead of ethanol. The female offspring of mothers given ethanol were more emotionally reactive than were the female offspring of control dams.
