Summary

Patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) exhibit reduced interhemispheric coordination, particularly in the calcarine cortex. This finding suggests VMHC in the calcarine cortex may serve as a biomarker to distinguish TRD from treatment-sensitive depression and healthy individuals.
