Abstract:
A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, who was especially interested in the problems of the hospitalized pediatric oncology patient, describes an autosyringe backpack used during periods of chemotherapy administration. Use of the backpack permits greater mobility for the pediatric patient and enhances the ability of a child to accomplish physical, psychosocial and play development during periods of hospitalization.
