Combined losartan and nitro-oleic acid remarkably improves diabetic nephropathy in mice

Combining losartan with nitro-oleic acid (OA-NO2) significantly reverses kidney damage in diabetic nephropathy (DN). This combination therapy offers a promising strategy to combat end-stage renal disease (ESRD) progression in diabetic mice.

Background:
- Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a primary cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), with current renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) inhibitors offering only partial protection.
