    Summary

    Erythrocyte-sensitizing substance (ESS) from Rickettsia canada showed antigenic relatedness to typhus group rickettsiae. This ESS reacted with homologous and R. prowazeki antibodies, but not with R. conori or Coxiella burneti antibodies.
