Summary

Autoimmune limbic encephalitis, specifically anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis, can mimic primary psychiatric disorders. Early diagnosis and immunotherapy rapidly improve psychosis and cognitive function.

  • Immunotherapy led to a swift and significant recovery of psychiatric and cognitive symptoms.
