  • To compare these populations with those served by Norwegian-born GPs.

  • Linked national registers (GPs Database, National Population Register) for all inhabitants and GPs in Norway (2008).
  • Defined immigrant GPs as individuals born abroad with both parents from abroad.
  • Employed logistic regression to analyze the influence of GP immigrant background on various characteristics.

  • Immigrant GPs are younger, more frequently female, and more often practice solo in rural areas compared to native GPs.
