This study presents a dynamic eye socket reconstruction technique using temporalis transfer for patients undergoing maxillectomy. The method achieved good functional and cosmetic outcomes, including eyelid movement and improved facial aesthetics.

  • Two male patients (70 and 72 years old) with midfacial tumors underwent dynamic eye socket reconstruction using temporalis transfer.
  • Follow-up periods were 16 and 102 months, with no acute complications reported.

Findings:

  • The dynamic eye socket reconstruction technique successfully restored eyelid movement, including crow's feet.
  • A good shape was maintained in the reconstructed medial and lateral canthal areas.
  • Satisfactory functional and cosmetic results were achieved in orbital reconstruction.
