Effects of adrenergic drugs on sheep oviduct motility
European Journal of Pharmacology
|August 1, 1975
Abstract:
Recordings of electrical activity of the oviduct in conscious ewes fitted with an extracellular multi-electrode assembly confirm the presence of alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors in both the ampullary and isthmic portions. Regional differences in response to noradrenaline and isoprenaline were observed particularly during oestrus. In all cases the lowest threshold of sensitivity was exhibited by the isthmic portion of the oviduct.
