Purpose of the Study:

  • To validate the Italian videoconference-based version of the Mini Mental State Examination (VMMSE).
  • To compare VMMSE performance against the standard face-to-face (F2F) MMSE.
  • To assess the reliability and accuracy of the VMMSE for cognitive screening.

  • A sample of 342 participants underwent both F2F MMSE and three VMMSE assessments within six weeks.
  • Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to determine the optimal VMMSE cutoff.
