Summary

Multiple calcifying hyperplastic dental follicle is an extremely rare condition affecting unerupted teeth. Early diagnosis through radiographic and microscopic examination is crucial for appropriate dental treatment.

Background:

Enlarged dental follicles associated with unerupted teeth require careful evaluation due to potential pathological changes.
Multiple calcifying hyperplastic dental follicle is an exceptionally rare condition within this category.

Observation:

Radiographic examination revealed a pericoronal radiolucent zone around mandibular third molars.
This zone was bordered by a well-defined, sclerotic margin, suggesting a specific pathological process.

Findings:

Microscopic analysis demonstrated a combination of fibrous connective tissue and small calcifications within the follicle.
These histological findings are characteristic of the rare multiple calcifying hyperplastic dental follicle.
