Structural and cognitive deficits in chronic carbon monoxide intoxication: a voxel-based morphometry study.

Carbon monoxide (CO) intoxication can cause delayed encephalopathy (DE) with lasting brain changes. This study links reduced gray matter volume in CO patients to cognitive deficits, especially in those with DE.
