    Summary

    A large basal cell carcinoma grew over 10 years in an elderly patient. Despite its size and duration, the cancer showed no signs of deep invasion or metastasis.

    • Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of skin cancer.
    • Slow-growing BCCs can present as large, ulcerated lesions.
    • Metastasis from BCC is rare, but deep invasion can cause significant local damage.
