Abstract:
Etiology, symptoms and diagnosis of Crohn's disease are described in a clinical study based on 37 patients. Drug therapy, surgery and their indications are discussed. Among 37 patients suffering from Crohn's disease of the complicated chronic type postoperative lethality amounted to 8.1%, the rate of complications came up to 37.8%. Recurrences after surgical therapy were observed in 40%. Toxic megacolon should be treated by the procedure of Turnbull.
