  • To investigate the influence of different bolus volumes (dry, 20ml, 40ml water) on swallowing sEMG.

Conclusions:

  • sEMG is a simple, noninvasive tool for evaluating swallowing function.
  • The study provides reference sEMG data for normal adult swallowing.
  • This data can aid in future screening and assessment of swallowing disorders.
