Inhaled antibiotics in mechanically ventilated patients

Inhaled antibiotics, like colistin, show promise for treating ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria. More randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm their safety and efficacy in critically ill patients.
