Vitamin D supplementation after parathyroidectomy: effect on bone mineral density-a randomized double-blind study

Vitamin D supplementation after parathyroidectomy did not significantly improve bone mineral density in most patients. However, it showed minor benefits for radius bone density, particularly in those with persistent high parathyroid hormone levels.
