Partial nephrectomy is a crucial procedure for kidney tumors.
Laparoscopic techniques are increasingly adopted in urological surgery.

Purpose:

To assess the efficacy and outcomes of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.
To evaluate the feasibility of this minimally invasive approach in a clinical setting.
To compare laparoscopic partial nephrectomy with traditional open surgery.

Summary:

This study analyzed 38 patients undergoing laparoscopic partial nephrectomy between 2006-2011.
Kidney cancer was diagnosed in 30 patients; other renal diseases in 8.
Mean operative time was 225 minutes with warm ischemia under 36 minutes, and an average 8.7-day postoperative stay.

Impact:

Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy demonstrates significant benefits over open surgery.
This minimally invasive approach aligns with oncological standards.
The procedure is a viable alternative for treating kidney cancer and other renal conditions.
