The big five personality traits: psychological entities or statistical constructs?

This study investigated the genetic and environmental influences on the Big Five personality traits using twin data. Results indicate that while both genetic and environmental factors show a five-factor structure, they do not fully align with the common pathway model for personality dimensions.
