Sunitinib--CLIO conjugate: a VEGFR/PDGFR-targeting active MR probe

Sunitinib-CLIO conjugate shows promise as a novel magnetic resonance (MR) probe for actively targeting and quantifying vascular endothelial growth factor receptor/platelet-derived growth factor receptor (VEGFR/PDGFR). This active targeting is independent of the enhanced permeability and retention effect, offering a new approach for VEGFR/PDGFR detection.

- Prussian-blue staining confirmed greater conjugate binding in U118MG tumors (8.5%) versus HT29 tumors (1.4%).

- Sunitinib-CLIO conjugate functions as an active MR probe for quantifying VEGFR/PDGFR.
- This conjugate offers a specific and effective method for molecular imaging of VEGFR/PDGFR expression in tumors.
