    Background:

    • Platelet aggregation plays a critical role in thromboembolic disorders.
    • Understanding alterations in platelet function during thrombosis is crucial for diagnosis and treatment.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate platelet aggregability in patients with acute thrombosis compared to healthy individuals.
    • To identify specific platelet activation pathways involved in acute thrombosis.

    Main Methods:

    • Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from 197 subjects (including 52 healthy volunteers) was used.
    • Platelet aggregation was measured using adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adrenaline as agonists.
    • Secondary aggregation induced by adrenaline was also assessed.

    Main Results:

    • Significantly enhanced platelet aggregation was observed in acute thrombosis patients upon stimulation with ADP and adrenaline (p < 0.05).
