- Chromium accumulation in lung and bronchial tissue appears to be age- and anthracosis-dependent.
- Elevated chromium in scarred lung tissue suggests impaired lymphatic clearance.
- The study found no evidence linking chromium levels in lung or bronchial tissue to the induction of bronchial carcinoma.
