Spatial pattern of Solid Waste generation of Ilorin-Nigeria

The generation pattern of Solid Waste has not been identified in most of the developing world. Investigation on the generation of waste in Ilorin, shows that the generation pattern differs from most acclaimed pattern of the developed world. By far, leaf waste constitutes the most generated waste. However, the investigation shows that the higher the number in the family, the less the amount of leaf waste generated. Paper and food left-over form twenty-seven and twenty per cent of waste generated respectively and high education seems to be an important factor in the amount of metal waste produced.
