Leflunomide, a rheumatoid arthritis drug, can cause interstitial lung disease (ILD). Patients with existing ILD are at higher risk, and acute toxicity can be treated with activated charcoal or cholestyramine.

- Acute leflunomide toxicity can be managed by decreasing its half-life using activated charcoal or cholestyramine, owing to its enterohepatic circulation.
