Specific activity staining for prostaglandin metabolizing enzymes on polyacrylamide gel

A simple activity staining technique on polyacrylamide gel for 15-hydroxyprostaglandin metabolizing enzymes was developed in which production or digestion of 15-keto-PGE was stained. The rapidity and specificity of this staining was shown with a preparation of NAD-linked 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase isolated from human term placenta.
