    Summary

Testicular lymphangiectasis, a rare condition, was observed in a patient with bilateral inguinal cryptorchidism. This finding suggests lymphatic abnormalities may impede testicular development.

    Area of Science:

    • Urology
    • Reproductive Medicine
    • Vascular Biology

    Background:

    • Bilateral inguinal cryptorchidism is a congenital condition requiring careful evaluation.
    • Testicular lymphangiectasis is a poorly understood condition characterized by dilated lymphatic vessels.

    Observation:

    • The first documented case of testicular lymphangiectasis in a patient with bilateral inguinal cryptorchidism is presented.
    • Irregular lymphatic channels and numerous anastomoses were observed within the testicular parenchyma and tunica vasculosa.

    Findings:

    • Micro-Doppler (MTD) and testicular function index (TFI) were normal in the left testis but significantly reduced in the right.
    • The right testis showed greater development of lymphatic vessels, correlating with reduced MTD and TFI.

    Implications:

    • Testicular lymphangiectasis may mechanically impede testicular tubular development.
    • This case highlights a potential link between lymphatic abnormalities and impaired testicular function in cryptorchidism.
