  • Normal kidney function was restored within 2 to 10 months.
  • This suggests a direct, reversible link between hypothyroidism and kidney impairment.

  • Clinicians should consider hypothyroidism in patients with unexplained kidney dysfunction.
  • Early recognition and treatment of hypothyroidism can prevent or reverse kidney damage.
  • This highlights the importance of evaluating thyroid function in renal impairment.
