Autonomic dysfunction in different subtypes of post-acute ischemic stroke

Post-stroke patients frequently experience autonomic dysfunction, particularly a parasympathetic cardiac deficit. Cardiovascular autonomic impairment is more severe in large-artery atherosclerosis stroke subtypes compared to small-vessel occlusion.
