Interrelationships between pain processing, cortisol and cognitive performance in chronic whiplash-associated

Chronic whiplash-associated disorder (WAD) patients show cognitive deficits, not impaired pain inhibition. In healthy individuals, pain modulation and cortisol levels correlate with cognitive function, unlike in WAD patients.
