Serum selenium status in Graves' disease with and without orbitopathy: a case-control study

Patients with Graves' orbitopathy (GO) have lower serum selenium levels than those with Graves' disease (GD). This suggests relative selenium deficiency may be an independent risk factor for developing GO.
