Is CD19 an immunological diagnostic marker for acute appendicitis?

The appendix contains higher levels of CD19+DR+ and CD19+ lymphocytes compared to peripheral blood. These cells, particularly CD19 and HLA-DR plus CD19, show diagnostic potential for appendicitis.

- These findings highlight distinct immune profiles in the appendix and suggest potential diagnostic markers for appendicitis.
