Summary

Minimize tissue shrinkage during histological processing for accurate mouse lung morphometry. Embedding in glycol methacrylate with osmium tetroxide and uranyl acetate treatment significantly preserves dimensions, unlike paraffin or simple glycol methacrylate methods.
