Purpose of the Study:

To analyze the queueing behavior of social wasps competing for the dominant position in a nest.
To investigate the relationship between nest lifespan, division of labor, and overall nest productivity.

Main Methods:

Utilized a transient quasi-birth-and-death (QBD) process to model wasp queueing dynamics.
Mathematical modeling to assess the impact of extended nest lifespan on colony output.

The study successfully modeled the queueing behavior for nest dominance in social wasps.
