To identify barriers and facilitators for integrating the 3Ds in nursing.
To present models that can guide nursing in addressing health disparities and diversity.
To catalyze change within the nursing profession regarding the 3Ds.

Conceptual analysis of the 3Ds framework.
Identification of barriers: disconnects and discrimination.
Discussion of facilitators: dissemination, durability, and data.
Presentation of five pivotal models.

Disconnects and discrimination impede the integration of 3Ds.
