Abstract:
We have long advocated that information is the core of health care delivery. Yes, procedures and testing make up a considerable portion of the cost and effort in care. However, these efforts are usually the result of the consideration of extensive amounts of information, or they are performed to gain more information. Certainly, information is key. In this installment, we explore information resources, characteristics of information use that support care delivery, and how it all fits together.
