Pomegranate extract: a potential protector against aminoglycoside ototoxicity

Pomegranate extract can protect against aminoglycoside-induced hearing loss by reducing oxidative stress in the cochlea. This study shows pomegranate extract lowers reactive oxygen species levels and preserves otoacoustic emissions in rats treated with gentamicin.
