Should age be a contraindication for degenerative lumbar surgery?

Elderly patients experience significant improvements in quality of life and satisfaction after degenerative lumbar surgery, comparable to younger patients. Disability improvements are even greater in older individuals, suggesting age is not a surgical barrier.
