[Krypton laser treatment of neovascularizations in angioid streaks]
1Univ.-Augenklinik Leiden.
Abstract:
Krypton laser photocoagulation was performed in 15 eyes of 13 patients with angioid streaks associated with disciform lesions. Treatment was successful in seven eyes; in eight eyes subfoveolar recurrences developed, resulting in loss of central vision. Angioid streaks running through the macular area and a diffuse maculopathy stimulate recurrences of neovascular outgrowth at the posterior pole.
